About Us
Tianlu Jia Redmon (贾天璐) is President and Chief Linguist of Tianlu Chinese Language and Culture LLC. She is experienced in court proceedings, depositions, conferences, and high-stakes meetings. She is a Texas Master Licensed Court Interpreter and an English-to-Chinese translator certified by the American Translators Association (ATA)—the first and only Mandarin interpreter in Texas to hold both qualifications. Since moving to Houston in 2018, she has become the go-to Mandarin interpreter for Fort Bend County courts. She is also certified in Louisiana, Oklahoma, and North Carolina and has also been approved to interpret in federal courts.
Apart from interpreting, Tianlu leads a hand-picked team in translating business and legal documents. She also teaches business Mandarin to executives and young professionals.
Tianlu has taken on various leadership roles in national and local associations of professional translators and interpreters. She is currently serving as the Public Relations Director at the Houston Interpreters and Translators Association and the Administrator of ATA's Chinese Language Division. She also served on the Leadership Council of ATA's Interpreters Division from 2015 to 2019. She is a member of the Texas Association of Judiciary Interpreters and Translators.
Tianlu was born and raised in Mainland China. She is a native speaker of Mandarin Chinese. She holds an M.A. in Liberal Arts from St. John’s College in Annapolis, MD, and a B.A. in English from Guangdong University of Foreign Studies in Guangzhou, China.

Tianlu Licensed as Master Court Interpreter in Texas

Tianlu receives Master Court Interpreter license for Texas courts. The Master Designation is the highest level of certification in the state. You can look up her name or certification number (#2290) on the Texas Judicial Branch Certification Commission website.

Team Interprets at Cleveland Clinic

Our team interpreted at Cleveland Clinic for a group of executives from hospitals throughout China, including Zhangshan Hospital Fudan University (复旦大学附属中山医院) and First Affiliated Hospital of China Medical University (中国医科大学附属第一医院). This week-long course covered hospital business management and leadership development. Cleveland Clinic has been ranked No.1 in cardiac care in the U.S. since 1995 and ranks No. 2 in “2017-18 Best Hospitals” according to U.S. News & World Report’s.

Tianlu Interprets for Inner Mongolia Department of Human Resources and Social Security

Tianlu interpreted for a delegation from the Department of Human Resources and Social Security of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region (内蒙古自治区人力资源和社会保障厅) during their week-long visit to the Washington D.C. area. Led by Deputy Director Li Jirong, the group visited several human resources organizations, including the Society for Human Resource Management, the world’s largest association for HR professionals.

Tianlu Prepares Chamber Members for China Trip

Tianlu Interprets at Gerson Institute

Tianlu interpreted a six-day course for medical practitioners on Gerson treatment, a nutritional therapy for cancer and chronic diseases, at the Gerson Institute in San Diego, CA, together with her interpreting partner. She also interpreted business meetings between the Chinese delegation and the Institute.

Tianlu Joins NBC Golf Channel

Tianlu began working for the NBC Golf Channel in Orlando, Florida. She translates golf programming during major golf tournaments and performs simultaneous interpretation of anchors' commentary for producers and directors during the production of the Chinese program.
